Instructor / Facilitator / Tutor Training and Coaching

To be successful e-training must engage the learner. A key feature of e-training is that it enables instructor - learner and learner - learner interaction and collaboration. The catch is that online participation and collaboration is an acquired skill for most learners. Engaging the learner by promoting interaction and collaboration is a key role of the e-training instructor / facilitator / tutor.

Synchronous (same time, anyplace) and asynchronous (anytime, anyplace) formats require different roles and tactics of the instructor. Depending on your needs, the training workshop can cover either or both situations.

Training topics include:

Creating the e-learning environment
Orienting the learner to e-training
Multiple roles for the online instructor / facilitator / tutor
(In both synchronous / asynchronous e-training)
Individual and group learning activities
Techniques for engaging the learner

The specific topics to be addressed in the workshop will be determined in a consultative process and based on the particular needs of your organization.

e-training group™ workshops require participants to work at an Internet-connected computer. An external facility can be contracted if required.

Basic instructor training is a one day workshop. Coaching and follow-up workshops on special topics can be arranged.
