e-training / e-learning orientation seminar

Training staff, the people to be trained and other stakeholders (e.g., Human Resources, Information Technology, Information Services, Sales, etc.) need to be informed about e-training and its implications for your organization. Many who will be involved will be apprehensive about what it means for their jobs.

One way to involve your people in the process is to hold an orientation seminar. The purpose of the seminar is to provide information and get people thinking about the implications of using e-training as part of your organization's training strategy.

A requirement is that there be an individual or team from your organization who will work with e-training group™ to develop and deliver the seminar.

The format requires at least a half-day and involves:

Rationale for considering e-training in your organization (your team)
Overview of e-training / e-learning (e-training group™)
Large group question and answer session (anything goes - your team
        and e-training group™)
Facilitated work groups working and reporting on specific
        issues (optional)
Next steps (your team)

An outcome of the seminar should be to identify the key issues to be addressed in planning, developing and implementing an e-training capability for your organization.
